Volunteer Opportunities
Annual Summer & Fall Events:
Client Dances: With a Halloween theme in October and a Hawaiian theme in the spring, dances are held for our program clients and we love to have guests! Volunteers help set up, interact, and dance with our clients, and of course to clean up after. Dates and times are to be determined for each event.
Weekday Opportunities:
Client Interaction Opportunities: Volunteers are welcomed to help clients reach daily goals by assisting with computers and Nook e-readers, cooking activities, sharing musical gifts and more with the clients in Daily Living Skills, Enriching Possibilities and Renewed Horizons programs. Warm weather activities include fishing in Lake Eliza or walking clients down to the lake.
Clerical: JobSource, OutSource, Development and HR departments are always happy to welcome volunteers to help with various office duties such as filing and copying. This volunteer opportunity requires some computer and office machine operation knowledge as well as great communication skills.
Financial: Our Finance Department is in need of an extra helping hand! Requirements include a strict attention to details and numbers, willingness to complete clerical-type work, envelope stuffing abilities, and the ability to file in alphabetical order.
Other Opportunities:
Simply Amazing Market (Various Times, Usually Holiday Season): The Market grows more popular each year and is well known not only for tasty treats, but for fulfilling large holiday orders of those treats! Volunteers are highly coveted during the holiday season, but are welcomed year round.
Company or Organization-Hosted Group Event: An opportunity for companies, organizations or groups who want to volunteer together. Host a bingo night at one of our group homes, make dinner together with clients in supported living, take on a landscaping project at one of our Respite Homes. The possibilities are endless, and we are able to create custom opportunities for your group to get involved in the mission of our agency.
