Care Packages
You love this community and it shows! From your support of restaurant workers, sewing masks for nurses, shopping for neighbors - it's amazing. If you'd like to help our friends with disabilities that are staying in their homes, here's how. Just like nursing homes, our clients and staff are together 24/7 throughout the day. We have taken extreme measures to keep our vulnerable clients as safe as possible and are in need of some fun activities.
Please consider creating a care package like those described below. You can drop off your donations at Opportunity Enterprises (2801 Evans Ave in Valpo). Use Door 4, which faces Silhavy Road with an awning. Just place them inside the double glass doors. Items will be cleaned and sanitized before being given to clients.
Or drop them in the mail to:

We cannot thank you enough!
CARE PACKAGE IDEAS:

-
Are there games and puzzles you no longer want that are in good condition? Send them over to provide new fun activities.
-
Got a family favorite recipe? Put together the ingredients and the recipe. Maybe even include a picture of your family enjoying it together.
-
Write letters or color pictures from your family. Include a few blank pages from an activity book along with it.
-
How about movies you've already watched? Family friendly DVDs make a great night in for those we serve.
-
Have you discovered an exciting new experiment or experience? Share the YouTube instruction link along with anything necessary to make the project - maybe a craft or a fun science experiment or even a "how to kazoo" video.
