When you use SecureShred services, you’re providing an opportunity for an individual with a disability to learn valuable employment skills, earn a paycheck, and grow in independence. Thank you!

Since 2003, SecureShred has been serving customers like you from across Northwest Indiana, Chicagoland, South Bend, and Lafayette. Because of you, we are able to recycle the equivalent of 50 trees every working day! Thank you!

In order to provide you the best service possible, you challenged us to go beyond the basics and become NAID Certified (National Association for Information Destruction). Now you know for certain that your documents are handled with the highest integrity and specialized training. You stay in compliance and avoid identity theft risks when you use SecureShred.

Are you a business owner/manager? You can utilize SecureShred services in the way it best serves your business:

  • On-site shredding: We’ll bring our state-of-the-art mobile shredding truck, equipped with an on-board camera, right to your facility to let you observe the destruction of paper documents right on-site. This shredding process results in tiny particles as small as 3/8″.

  • Off-site shredding: We will pick up your shredding or you may drop off materials (as listed above) for destruction at our Valparaiso facility.

  • Secure consoles: We provide you with professional, lockable consoles to facilitate the secure storage of confidential materials. Consoles are perfect for your office and public spaces and hold 35 gallons of paper. You can schedule incremental pickups on your schedule.

  • Secure industrial totes: These totes are designed more for your back-room collection rather than up-front beauty and are specific to the collection and transportation of confidential materials. The top-locking totes come in 50, 64, and 96-gallon sizes depending on your needs, each with a top-feed slot.

  • Personal shredding is accepted from 8 am – 3:30 pm at Door 7 on the East side of Opportunity Enterprises’ main headquarters at 2801 Evans Ave, Valparaiso.

  • Did you know you can shred almost any printed material including newspapers, magazines, catalogs, junk mail, copy paper, and more?

  • Our friendly staff will help you unload your boxes and bags of shred materials.

  • Once it’s all weighed, you’ll pay just $.16 per pound for your drop off shredding. The average file box patrons bring in weighs about 20-25 pounds. That’s only $3-$4.

  • From there you can watch your paper be diced and chopped through the secure office window.

While you’re here, be sure to stop by the Simply Amazing Market just around the corner for your sweet and salty treats.
