OE Employee Recognized for Outstanding Consumer Care

On November 8, 2007, Dawn Crozier, Lute Road Group Home Manager for Opportunity Enterprises, received the 2007 Community Living Award from the ARC of Indiana. Selected from a pool of nominees from all over the State of Indiana, Ms. Crozier was recognized at the ARC's annual award luncheon for her dedication and devotion to the consumers of Opportunity Enterprises' group homes. Employed with Opportunity Enterprises since 2005, Ms. Crozier manages the group home in Portage, Indiana, is a certified CPR and First Aid Instructor for the agency, and actively advocates on behalf of her consumers' right to have meaningful days and full integration into the community.

As part of her nomination, a colleague stepped forward to include these words:

I have had the distinct pleasure of being around Dawn when she works with the clients. She is truly amazing with them. She has a wonderful way of showing compassion and concern for our clients while also maintaining her responsibility to the clients and ensuring they are successful in their responsibilities. Her love of her job and of those she cares for shines through. OE is blessed to have such a compassionate, hardworking and dedicated employee like Dawn.
