Explanation of DSP Initiative The Indiana DSP Initiative is a collaborative effort between Indiana University, Ivy Tech Community College, the State of Indiana, and nine Phase One Provider Agencies. The initiative offers the opportunity for DSPs to obtain the Direct Support Professional Certificate offered through Ivy Tech Community College. This program is fully funded by the State of Indiana and therefore will require no financial obligation (tuition, registration, books, etc.) on behalf of the staff member. Upon successful completion of the DSP Certificate employees are eligible for a one dollar an hour wage enhancement.
