Achieving
Self-Sufficiency through Assistive Technology Training
Services
Statistics show that 37.7 million people in
the United States have a limitation that affects a
major life activity. More than 19 million individuals
over the age of 18 have conditions that keep them from
working, attending school, or maintaining a household.
Assistive technologies can help to overcome these limitations
that a disability has imposed.
The staff at Opportunity
Enterprises has a succinct goal: to lower these statistics
by providing assessments and training through the
use of Assistive Technology within the workplace,
home and community.
"Three
years ago, I had a massive stroke that took 90% of
my vision, and what was left was not clear. With
the help of Assistive Technologies and Vocational
Rehabilitation, in particular my instructor, Pam
White, I am now able to see patients again. With
the aid of the technology, I am again able to do
fingernail, tongue and eye analysis. Thank God for
people like Pam who care!" - Dr. William Stimack

instructor, Pam White has enabled me to live a more
productive life. She taught me how to use the internet
