Chief Executive Officer
DeMartinis’ knowledge, leadership, and dedication has greatly influenced Opportunity Enterprises’ mission to maximize self-sufficiency and enrich the quality of life for individuals with disabilities for more than 20 years. DeMartinis has served the agency in several capacities, including Director of Human Resources, Chief Operating Officer, and Vice President. DeMartinis was named CEO of OE in October 2014. DeMartinis leads the organization with extensive experience in human resources and operations, as well as knowledge of the rich history of Opportunity Enterprises itself. She has served on the Board of Directors for Whispering Pines, is a past President of the Northwest Indiana Society of Human Resource Management, and is an active Rotarian. A dynamic force in OE’s growth at Lakeside, Ellen is a proven leader for the organization and within the community, and she has an endless store of passion for providing top quality services to people with disabilities in Northwest Indiana.
Chief Operating Officer
Wilson has a commendable background in various leadership positions and higher education. Wilson received a B.A. in Psychology & Sociology from Purdue University and is working towards his M.B.A. from Valparaiso University. During his time with the organization, Wilson has spearheaded project and consultant management and advised the CEO with regard to the establishment and communication of agency wide processes and policies. He oversees various components of OE to ensure the success of our services, business solutions, and programs provided. Wilson sits on the financial board for Bethel Valparaiso and continues to lead OE through innovation, creativity and strategic planning.
Chief Human Resources Officer
A graduate of Indiana University’s School of Business with more than twenty years of experience in both the public and private sectors, Jackson is well versed in human resources and business operations. Before joining the OE team, she was the Executive Team Leader for Human Resources for the Target Corporation. Jackson has served the agency through the years in many capacities; as a volunteer coordinator, as well as a contributing influence for OE’s marathon teams and annual galas. As Chief Human Resources Officer for Opportunity Enterprises, Jackson plans to focus on staff retention and development.
Chief Programming Officer
Thill’s role as Chief Programming Officer is to ensure that the quality of OE’s programs meet the vocational, educational, and residential needs of nearly 1,000 individuals with disabilities who are served by the agency. Thill holds a B.S. in Psychology and a B.S. in Social Welfare both from Olivet Nazarene University. Thill started her career at OE as a Program Specialist more than 10 years ago. Shortly after, she transitioned into the role of Senior Director of Social Services, where she maintained relationships with various departments, state officials, families and employees of OE. Thill was named OE’s Chief Programming Officer in December 2014. Thill is dedicated to giving the clients of OE the best quality in care and programming.
Chief Financial Officer
Fisher has been a vital team member of Opportunity Enterprises’ financial department for more than 10 years. Fisher holds a B.S.B.A. in Accounting and Finance from Valparaiso University and an M.B.A. from Purdue University. Fisher started as an intern with the agency as an undergraduate, worked as a staff accountant for several years, and was named Chief Financial Officer in February 2011. He is responsible for the overall financial management of the company, its financial reporting, and works to ensure OE’s financial success by complying with stakeholder requirements and government regulations.
