Gala - February 6, 2010
We need volunteers to assist with the Gala. This is a black tie optional event that includes dinner, dancing, and a silent auction. Volunteer duties will include preparation before, during, and after.

Shamrock Shuffle Mini Pack-A-Thon - Early March 2010
We need volunteers to help pack 31,000 bags for runners participating in the Chicago Shamrock Shuffel 8k Race. Volunteers, ages 18 and up, can assist Monday through Friday, March 1 through March 5, and March 8 through March 12 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. You must call to reserve your spot.

Spring Dance – A Friday in April (date TBD)
We need individuals to help set up, interact and dance with our consumers. Decorating will begin at 3:30 p.m. The dance will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Clean up will last until approximately 9:00 p.m.

In-house Clerical Assistance – ONGOING
Assistance is always needed within Human Resources, Social Services and/or Organizational Advancement Department to help with filing, copying, data entry, etc. This assistance is much needed and greatly appreciated.

Day of Caring - Typically held on a Friday in August
An event done in conjunction with the United Way.
Companies volunteer for various projects posted in the United Way Website at www.unitedwaypc.org.

PACK-A-THON - a Saturday in September TBD
PLEASE JOIN US!
This is the day we stuff all of the runner goody bags for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. We need volunteers to help stuff 45,000 bags and individuals and groups of all sizes are welcome. The event starts at 8:00 a.m. and we stay until the last bag has been stuffed. We finish around 2:30 p.m.

Marathon - October 10, 2010
We need volunteers to support the OE runners the day of the marathon. Volunteers are needed to take turns staffing the tent. It is a long day, but an experience you will never forget. We leave Valparaiso by 4:00 a.m. and return about 5:00 p.m.

Halloween Dance - October 2010
We need individuals to help set up, interact and dance with our consumers. Decorating will begin at 4:30 p.m. The dance will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Clean up will last until approximately 9:00 p.m.
