The Enrichment Programs of Opportunity Enterprises provide consumers with creative and positive outlets for their interests and talents. Teamed with qualified instructors and their peers, consumers spend their enrichment time working on achieving individualized goals. Participation is based on consumer choice and funding availability. For more information on a particular program, please choose from the following:
Assistive
Technology
Utilizing computers and adaptive equipment and software, consumers work individually and in small groups to learn technology, communication, reading, math, and other skills.
Art Enrichment
Working individually and in small groups, consumers are exposed to art appreciation and history as well as techniques of ceramics, painting, photography, and much more.
Community
Integration
Individuals are accompanied into the community where they participate in a variety of volunteer jobs or recreation and leisure activities.
Relaxation Techniques
Working holistically with each individual, instructors provide consumers with techniques for stress reduction and improved physical mobility.

Clubs
Next Chapter
Book Club
The Next Chapter Book Club is a great social and educational program for the
clients at OE. The client groups work together to choose books and typically
select a local coffee shop for their weekly meetings.
Best
Buddies
The Best Buddies - Valparaiso University/Opportunity Enterprises chapter -
is a member of the national organization of Best Buddies designed to develop
friendships between college students and challenged individuals. Students and
clients come together and plan activities based on their shared interests.
Self-Advocates
The Self-Advocates at Opportunity Enterprises are members of a state and nationwide
organization comprised of citizens with disabilities. The OE Self-Advocates
members promote equal rights, respect and dignity - for all individuals - through
educational initiatives. Members attend bi-weekly chapter meetings, quarterly
statewide meetings and annual national conferences.

Ambassadors
As an OE Ambassador, clients become an active voice and a
formal representative for Opportunity Enterprises, Incorporated. Members of
the OE
Ambassador program act as leaders for other clients by assisting with facility
tours, reviewing OE programs for development and improvements and identification
of client concerns and issues.
